The Critter Room at Almost Home Animal Rescue was founded in 2020 by our Rescue Manager, Katrina, after recognizing a growing need for support for small animals in our community. Many local shelters and rescues are unable to accept small or exotic pets, leaving these animals with few safe options.
The Critter Room was created to change that. We rescue, rehabilitate, and care for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and other small companions, providing proper nutrition, enrichment, medical care, and plenty of love while they await their forever homes. More than just a shelter space, the Critter Room is a dedicated haven where often-overlooked animals receive second chances and where families can meet their newest tiny family members.
