Almost Home Animal Rescue and Adoption, Inc. is a nonprofit animal rescue organization built on compassion, dedication, and the belief that every animal deserves the chance to find a safe and loving home.
Founded by a group of dedicated volunteers with years of animal shelter and rescue experience, Almost Home works to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need while also providing support and resources to the people who love them.
We are proud to welcome those looking to adopt, foster, volunteer, donate, or simply become part of our rescue community.
Almost Home maintains a no-kill philosophy and is committed to treating both animals and the families who come to us with compassion, dignity, and respect.
Our Mission
Our mission is to rescue and rehome unwanted, abandoned, and displaced animals from private homes and municipal shelters and place them into responsible, loving homes.
But rescue isn’t only about finding new homes.
Whenever possible, we also work to help families keep the animals they already love by providing support, resources, and assistance that may prevent an animal from entering the shelter system in the first place.
Our goal is not simply to find an animal a home. It is to create lasting matches between animals and families.

Promote and provide access to low-cost spay and neuter services to help reduce animal overpopulation.

Provide humane education for children and young people, helping foster compassion, responsibility, and respect for animals.

Create opportunities for people to make a difference through adoption, fostering, volunteering, donating, and advocating for animals in need.
